Privacy policy
Information we collect
When you open an account we collect the information needed to identify you and to meet our legal obligations: your name, contact details, date of birth, address, government identification documents and, for companies, incorporation and ownership details.
When you use the service we record the transactions you make, including amounts, currencies, counterparties and references. We also collect technical information such as device type, browser and IP address to keep accounts secure.
Why we use it
We use your information to open and operate your account, to process payments and currency conversions, to verify your identity, to detect and prevent fraud and financial crime, to provide support, and to comply with the anti-money-laundering and sanctions rules that apply to us and our partners.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your transaction data to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We share information with the licensed banking and payment partners that provide accounts and move funds, with identity verification and fraud-screening providers, with service providers that host and support our systems, and with regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so. Partners receive only what they need for their role.
How long we keep it
Financial services regulation requires us to retain account and transaction records for a set period after your relationship with us ends — commonly five years, longer in some markets. We keep other information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to request deletion, to object to certain processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Some rights are limited where we must keep records to meet regulatory obligations. Contact us at hello@valepayments.com to make a request.
Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict internal access to information on a need-to-know basis, and require verification before sensitive account changes. No system is perfect, so please tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Cookies
This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our pages. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. For any privacy question, or to raise a concern about how we handle your information, email hello@valepayments.com.
This page is a plain-language summary provided for convenience and is not legal advice. Before launch, have your final policy reviewed by a qualified lawyer in each market you operate in, so that it reflects your actual data practices, partner arrangements and local regulatory obligations.
