Conversion and payout fees vary by currency and corridor, and are always displayed on screen before you confirm a transaction. Contact our team if you move high volumes and want to discuss pricing.

What you pay for

Three things carry a fee

Everything else — opening, holding, invoicing, receiving — is included.

Currency conversion

A fee on the amount you convert, shown with the rate and the resulting balance before you confirm.

Payouts

A fee per payment that depends on the destination currency and corridor, quoted before you release the payment.

Passed-through bank costs

Where a partner or receiving bank charges for a return or a special handling case, the actual cost is passed on without a markup.

Pricing FAQ

Questions about cost

What people check before they move their payments over.

Correct. Opening an account and holding a balance costs nothing, in any of the currencies we support. We make money on the clearly disclosed fee applied when you convert currency or send a payout.

You are shown the rate and any fee on the confirmation screen before the transaction goes through, along with the exact amount that will land. Nothing is added or adjusted afterwards.

Receiving a local transfer into your Vale account details does not carry a Vale fee. Bear in mind your client's own bank may charge them on their side, exactly as it would for any domestic payment.

If a payout is returned because the recipient details were wrong, the funds come back to your balance. Where a partner bank charges a return fee, that cost is passed through and shown in your transaction history rather than marked up.
